Really, you haven't given enough information for anyone really to be commenting on whether you should claim your tuba as a deduction. We don't know how much you made last year, whether you are a full-time student, whether your parents are claiming you as a dependent, whether or not you are on scholarship, whether you have any dependents, whether you have any student loans or financial aid, whether or not you have other items to be able to deduct.
What I would do if I were you is talk to a few adults who know a little about tax filing to determine whether it would be best to go to tax professioal of not.
