In comparing the Yamaha-Bach to the Conn-Bach, the new Conn-Bach is at least as good...probably a little better in some ways. It has metal valve guides and the valves stick less. The students at my university seem to like the Conn-Bach slightly more. From a few feet away, I really can't tell any diference in sound.
