I used it in my apartment or our basement all the time. My wife and daughter can hardly hear things with the door shut. When in our basement, I can even play while they're sleeping. It's great.
The device that comes with mine has different reverb settings, which are nice but not really the selling point of the system.
The only complaint I have is the fact that with the mute in, the tuba becomes very top heavy. It takes some getting used to, but worth the effort in my opinion.
