One night around 2 AM during finals week, a group of us went over and got our instruments. The instrumentation worked out to be 2 tubas, 2 euphoniums, 3 or 4 trumpets and a trombone, sorry to anyone else I forgot. Anyways we went over to the practice building which faces a couple of dorms making the perfect accoustical setting to piss people off. SO we go up to the top floor of the practice building open the windows and blow our brains out by playing what we call Lazer Tones. We would press down all the valves and play as loud and high as possible making quit possibly the most noise of all time. It was a blast. While we were playing people were opening up their windows yelling profanity and other choice words at us. While all of the other music students in the dorm were cheering us on. I haven't had that much fun in a while. BUt that night will go down in history as the first Brass Explosion...luckily we have finals 3 times a year so be ready for the repeat...
