I have a question that's a little off the subject. How is the low Bb using the fingering 125 on your PT15 (or whatever fingering works)? I have an F tuba with the whole step fifth valve and I can't find a fingering that gets anywhere near locked in, at least not without considerable slide pulling. It would seem that having a double whole step would be a bit more practical in the low register. I'm not the world's most coordinated person so I have been a little leary of the 6 valve tubas. However, I would give the double whole step a try if it plays reasonably in tune down to pedal F. What do you think?
