Gene's clinic this afternoon and performance this evening were fantastic. He even traveled with the York to perform the Bagatelles and the massed tubas on "Them Basses." Junction had a blast performing the quartet concerto and everyone could tell. This was the third performance of the work and the ladies had it covered. As for how they put it together; one performer said, "we put it together, we do it, then we throw it out and start over for the next one."
It is a monumental effort to ensure that nothing falls through the cracks and the tuba-euph sections, the command group, and the support staff should be commended for putting this show together every year and trying to keep it new. Please contact COL Lamb, SGM's Tilbury and Morgan and thank them for their efforts and encourage further sponsorship of this conference and others that they host. Just an idea.
