And you can do more than just play quietly. The mixer has an auxillary input that you can hookup to your computer speaker port. You can then play midi files on your computer with a midi reader (I use Cakewalk) that displays a scrolling score as it plays. Now you can play along with the computer quietly and with complete control. You can transponse, speed-up, slow-down, mute tracks, stop and restart, etc. Midi files for just about any piece you can name are freely available for download on the net. By the way, is the Silent Brass for tuba still being manufactured? I know they had some complaints about the straps denting bells and the currently advertizing seems to omit mention of a tuba model.
