I can empathise with your wish to have an instrument -- NOW -- because I was in the same spot about a year ago. My suggestion is this: Find a way to save some money, either from a hobby that pays (like mine) or just putting some money in a special savings account. Then monitor places like this BBS - that's how I found mine - or eBay. When you have the cash in hand you'll know how much you can spend and you'll soon get an idea of what you can afford. If you can't afford what you want, wait a little longer. I can't tell you how great it feels when you finally get the horn you've always wanted! Buying the horn this way also helps you avoid rushing into a deal that's "too good to be true" because you are a little desparate. I was out bid on a really nice horn on eBay with 34 seconds to go. Patience and persaverance are worth it in the end.
