I just use regular old Al Cass and have for as long as I can remember. If you keep your instrument clean and oil regularly just about any oil will do. There are thinner oils for rotor valves or pistons with very close tolerances. There are also thicker oils for older horns with lots of play in the valves, and then ther are thicker oils yet for external linkages and keys (key oil). Space Filler was a brand (Is it still available?) that had different grades of oil for different aplications, as well as Hetman. You can spend alot or a little bit for oil but for most applications any oil will do. If you have a custom horn with very close valve tolerances you may need a thinner oil. ken k
