In the Tuba Sourcebook (copyright 1996, which means the information was probably current in 1995 or early 1996), the bell is listed at $1040 in lacquer, add $400 for silverplate. That, of course, is the list price a few years ago. When I bought my King 2341 in 1996 from Dillon, the cost of the additional bell was quoted to me as $600 which seemed pretty fair vs. list.
I would guess, now, that from a place like Dillon or Brasswind, the bell would be around $700-800. Call Matt at Dillon to see about prices and availability.
