Earlier someone posted a question about Don Goldie, who I had mentioned in the previous post. Don was the famous trumpet sound on the Jackie Gleason show, and perhaps the smoothest dixieland trumpeter of all time. I dug around and found a c.d. which IS available of JUST him and his band (featuring former Assuntos' Dukes of Dixieland drummer, Red Hawley.) It features recordings from the early 1980's to the late 1980's.
The c.d. is called "Don Goldie's 'Dangerous Jazz Band'" (#JCD-135) and is on the Jazzology label: 1206 Decatur Street, New Orleans, LA 70116 (504) 525-1776 FAX: (504) 523-2629

If you go there, you might inquire about #BCD-188. Hot Cotton Jazz Band: "Take Your Tomorrow" just reissued as a c.d. and originally recorded in 1985. The tuba /string bass player in that band was simply fantastic ;^D
