I think Marty Erickson is one of the finest tuba and bass players in the business. I first met him and heard him play in Washington, D.C. in 1985 at the Army Band's Tuba/Euph Convention. He was tuba soloist with the U.S. Navy Band, Washington, D.C., and performed in the Navy Brass Quintet.
