I spent a few minutes with one. My daughter, who studies at Eastman and doesn't mince her words (I wonder where she gets that from...), just said "eeeeeuUUUUUuuwwwwww". (I don't think that the sound impressed her favorably.) I was nonplused by the workmanship, the funky valves, and the stuffiness. (No, I am not confusing that with "resistance" -- I mean't "stuffiness".) When I received my dealer newsletter introducing that tuba, the "Leblanc Bell", they were touting it as the first instrument designed by computer...must have been THIS friggin' *&%$_:^(¿) computer in front of my face, here.
