Howdy...I was graced through all my years before University when I finally got my horn with a YBB103. This little pea shooter I believe was replaced in the lineup but the 105 you mentioned, the difference being the 103 had 3 pistons around front. The only thiing I could ever complain about with that horn was it's lack of a fourth valve. Despite it's smurfish stylings (she's a tiny one) it could still belt out sound. Intonation was pretty
good on the three examples I used.

The 201, however, I don't like at all..for being bigger in size, I donn't think the actual "horn" (bore and bell) is much bigger. I thought the 103 played better. If you can get your hands on the 4 valve big horn, you'd be a lot better off I think.

Yamaha's hard cases are well built and fairly spiffy too, so that's bonus.

A bit of personal opinion...upright valve tubas are just plain ugly.
