Well, my Alex F is still for sale. I have lowered the price because I really need to sell it. Here's the low-down on the tuba:
Late 1960's-early 70's model, gorgeous sound, very open low register for an Alex (better than any other Alex F I've ever played), good intonation, quick valves, 5 valves...5th (whole step) converted to right thumb, unlaquered bell, comes with original leather gig bag when bought at the factory in Mainz, Germany by Mark Moore (professor of tuba: Univ. of Illinois). I have used this horn extensively in quintet and orchestral settings. I played Petrushka, Bydlo (high G# is incredible on this tuba!), Mahler 1, and Prelude to Act III Lohengren on this Alex F recently and it worked incredibly!!
