Hey Dave,
You did NOT make a "flimsy connection".
The first horn I bought after retiring and
moving to San Antonio was a Nirschl 5/4.
This was in 1994 and Orpheus had a couple
... these horns were larger than those Custom
offers today. (Lee Hipp was there and will
back me up.) In appearance they were closer
to the older B&M CCs. Jim Gavigan even had a
photo of Walter with this horn.
