My teacher dropped in the other day to do a little woodworking and he noticed my "project horn" sitting in a corner of my shop, a York Monster Eb (3V side action). He took a few toots on it and recommended that I lose everything but the bell, as the big York Eb tended not to play well in tune with itself. He recalled a Miraphone 186 (I'm assuming CC) with a York eefer bell on it and considered it a change for the better.
Has anyone ever seen such a beast? What did the result sound like? And does anyone have a 186 body that they might want to part with? :=)
