I've got a 4v front-action upright compensating Besson euph from about 1931 in nickel plate. Never seen another like it. It has an interesting tone somewhat between a big bore euph and a baritone with some obvious intonation problems. The plumbing's a nightmare and the horn is heavier than my Willson CB30. Not one of Besson's best efforts, but interesting nonetheless. (Yeah, Rick played it too, and was unimpressed, right, Rick?)
