Has anyone out there ever heard the J.J.Johnson CD "The Brass Orchetra"? It is a veritable who's who of jazz brass players. Howard Johnson and Andy Rogers cover the tuba chairs and Bruce Bonvissuto and Alan Raph cover the Euph parts. It is on the Verve label and if jazz brass like some of the old Miles Davis/Gil Evans stuff or some of the concert style Kenton stuff is your cup of tea (only with better intonation!)than you gotta check it out.
Anyway, I am interested in finding out how to obtain the arrangments, either for rental or for purchase. Or if anyone knows JJ's email adress I would appreciate getting it.
