Joe, I have read quite a bit about the development of the brasses used in the Brit brass band movement, but never read about the euphonium term bein patented or the like. Glad that we have this term to day. At least considering the alternative.
Some guy, not from hell, but named Hell, marketed his euph version under his family name! Might have beenn some hell to sell even for a Burgerman.
