I don't know how frequently you intend changing, but I played E flat & B
flat bass tuba for some 4 years before returning to the euph.

Its something every euph.player should try, it is very difficult to project
sound in the lower range of the B flat instrument until you get working
really hard. It also is obviously more difficult sustaining long notes as
well.

Added to all this is the extra long travel of the valves. Finger exercises
don't have a patch on this.

It was a joy to return to the euph. as the brass band parts ( even in a
championship section band )were quite boring, and I longed to play counter
melodies again !
