Nice to see many of you last night in San Antonio! Played a wonderful concert with a great band, USAF Band of the West.

Greetings from Lieksa Brass Week, Finland!

Lieksa Brass Week is organising the Lieksa International Tuba Competition
during 27.7. - 5.8.2001, just before ITEC Lahti, Finland (in ITEC there will
not be tuba competition). The competition is open to contestans born in 1966 or
later.

Please find enclosed the programme of the competition. Futher details will be
delivered to you soon. The application forms with audition tapes must be
returned to the Lieksa Brass Week office by March 1st 2001.

Tape round:
Plog: Three miniatures, 1st movement Editions BIM
Green: When We Were Giants, 2nd movement Bernel Music

1st round:

Plog: Three miniatures (entire)
Green: When We Were Giants (entire)

Recital
The competitors will perform recital pieces of their choice in concert.

One of the following:
Gregson: Alarum (Intrada)

Penderecki: Capriccio (Schott)
Masson: Borealis (Editions BIM)
Stevens: Salve Venere (Editions BIM)

and one of the following:
Madsen: Sonata
Broughton: Sonata (Masters Music)

and one of the following:
Kreisler Liebeslied (Mythen Hollanda)
(arr. Sheridan)

Romberg Serenade, from Student Prince (Mythen Hollanda)
(arr. Sheridan)

Ponce Estrellita (Mythen Hollanda)
(arr. Sheridan)

Final round
