Very good teachers of mine have had me using the syllable Ho- to activate a non tongued attack.
Then the Ho- should be followed by a T in rhythmic distances decreasing from quavers to sixteenths to nothing. Thereby developing a controlled synchronisation of breath support (diaphragm) and tongue. Rather effective!
