I open my teeth wider as I play lower pitches and close my teeth as the pitches go higher and higher.
Another thing that effects the position of the teeth is loudness: The louder, the more open are my teeth and the softer, the more closed.
Those who play with their teeth closed more than is appropriate for whatever situation will not achieve the nicest tuba sound.
