How did you come to a decision on the PT-6 if valve type was not a consideration. One of the primary influences in deciding on a horn should be the valves, mostly because it can make a world of difference with the sound. Have you actually played a PT-6? If so, have you played both types of valves? How many other 5/4 CC tubas have you tried? Do your research, otherwise you will likely wind up regretting it.
