This post mystfies me. I play both treble and bass cleff on the Eb and don't notice much difference and certainly not enough to worry about. I also play BBb in both cleffs without much worry, either. And I started out on Eb in treble, too. Rather than approach the switching as a punishment from God, I look on it as part of the horn. My section mates in the brass band all do the same thing and we simply do it.
