Indeed, I had two YFB-621S Yamaha F tubas that were both extensively "tricked
out" by Matt Walters at Dillon Music.
Maria bought one of them, and yes Rick, the other one is in Ithaca.
I have owned 3 different YFB-621 (two silver, one brass), and 2 different YFB-822
F tubas (one silver, one brass).
All 5 of them were in some way hot-rodded for me by Matt. They were all great
tubas! What can I say, I dig the Yamahas.
Of course, it took me 5 different F tubas to finally find my home - on Eb!
The new Yamaha YEB-632S Compensating Eb (3+1) is a great horn, and I am having
a great time playing it as my only horn.
Now that I think about it, I wonder if I have bought enough Yamaha tubas to
be a "major shareholder" ?
