Do Conn sousaphones weigh more than all the other brands? My band instructor said he bought the Jupiters because the sousa line players were compaining that the 20K's weighed too much ( whimps). And I agree with you Sean, the 20K does play like a tuba and has the best sound of all of them, but it has some tough competition with the King sousaphone. My tuba teacher, Fred Marzan (maker of the Marzan tuba) syas that he preferes King sousaphones because they have that more symphonic sound, like a tuba, and the bell is made all in one peice, as on other brands they are put together in 2 peices.
