The bore is very similar to my Yorkbrunner and plays rather large, that is, it makes quite a bit of sound with minimal effort. I AB'd it against two HB2's today and in all cases, the Gronitz was a superior instrument in both size of sound vs ease of execution and in intonation. When I get the lacquered PCK I'll probably keep the unlacquered one and sell my HB2-P.
