FWIW, when I auditioned for college in early '89, I had a 5/4 BBb and a 3/4 F. My instructor, Don Harry, told me to play that very piece on the contrabass tuba as one of my audition pieces. I did, and got accepted into 2 out of 3 (Manhattan School of Music and Mannes College of Music.)
