I use only one tuba for all the stuff that I do. Mostly I play in a community concert band, but this fall I'm joining my college's jazz band to play with them on tuba. My tube is an EEb and I find that it works nicely for everything.. though I have a tough time in some concert songs getting the low notes (Bb and down) coming out loud and full like a BBb tuba. I just need to practice more. :) Since I've got lots of years of trumpet experience, I'd probably rather have a BBb tuba and fight with the higher notes rather than have the EEb and fight with the low ones. :) But I'm not complaining, after all, I HAVE a tuba!
