I have also played an Alex for over thirty years, during which time I have used
the Marzan, Schilke 67, Conn Heleberg, & PT-88 mouthpieces. I like the PT-88
best for general playing, it produces a lovely tone in low through mid register. I carry a Conn Heleberg for upper range, quintets, or when I want a lighter sound. When I am playing a lot of F tuba, I may stay with the Heleberg on CC just to make changing over easier.

My horn is one of the older large shank models. The new horn may be different!
