Mary Ann,
I own a prehistoric Cerveny 654-6, made in 1981. It looks just like the one on the web site, except that it has "Harmonia" engraved across the bell, not Cerveny. (It is now called the Harmony model). This little horn has a 14 1/8" bell, but is mostly throat and not flare, so it has plenty of bell. It is rather tall, too, so it is what I'd call a 4/4 F. This baby will crank out the low register with ease, compared to anything else I've played, German, Swiss, or Japanese. It virtually sings in the mid- and upper registers, too. But, perhaps the best thing is how affordable they are. The worst part is that their advertising is nonexistent about this horn, and very few people even know about it. I use it for all my brass quintet playing now, and orchestral playing that calls for a smaller horn.
