I play a MW 2000 with an adjustable gap receiver, and it can be at home in a brass quintet or balance up to a fairly large symphony orchestra or concert band. I just tried the new Alexander CC tuba at Dillon Music and it plays like a larger 5/4 CC-tuba. The rotary valve keys on the Alexander are suited to a large hand size.
