I played the prototype at the Army Tuba-Euphonium Conference about 2 years ago, and from the few notes I played on it I liked it. I didn't play on it too long because Mr. Griffith and Simonetti were looking at me when I played because they wanted my comment on it. I told them it was kinda like a Mirafone exept larger and darker sounding, so it didn't really sound like a Mirafone, but more like an Alexander. It was raw brass, had piston valves and was 4/4 size and pitched in CC if I remember correctly. It would be like the American version of an Alex tuba. I haven't heard about it since.
He gave me his card.
Mr. Griffith's e-mail is npgriff(AT)concentric.net
I hope it's O.K. to put his e-mail here.
