I see a chiropractor regularly (like every six months or so) and he helps my neck a lot. If I'm having a problem, which sometimes occurs, I just go get popped and bingo that fixes it.
Just in case you run into the "terror of chiropractors" syndrome:
I have a cousin who is a registered nurse. She was in a private plane accident that messed her up pretty badly. After some years she was confined to the couch because her back and neck hurt so badly. She would NOT see a chiropractor, because all of her medical "training" said they were quacks. I finally talked her into seeing an osteopath...and the next year she learned to ski.
'nuf said.
