For reals, if you can handle a big BBb tuba (an extra whole step) and the maestro likes it and how you can control your sound on it, Shoot, go ahead. I know if I stayed on Bb, I would've been better on improv. But then again I'm glad I went to the CC since I have a small body than most big people, I'm glad to blow through less tubing. :.)
