Regardless of the fact that Wagner himself may have been a less than wonderful human being, a major theme than runs through so much of his work is *redemption through love* - hardly the stuff nazis were made of.
But aside from all of that, the reason to play Wagner's music is simply that it's great music - period. None of that other stuff matters, and certainly not today. I say, get over it.
