The same kind of thing happens to me but only with one note- E. E in any octave above(and including) third space bass clef, my inner ear 'itches'. It's even worse in allergy season(which, for me, is most of the year). Is your ear-buzzing only on certain pitches? If it is, use it to your advantage! I don't have perfect pitch, but I can always hear a Bb and an E, or can tell if something is in Bb or E (major or minor). With decent relative pitch, I've always been able to use this to my advantage.
