Now I know that we aren't gonna start arguing to support the German/Nazi mentality(This isn't meant to offend anyone)! I'm just thinkin' about the fact that Goodman, Shaw, Krupa, and many others were banned in Germany during the Nazi reign. What did these guys have in common?? They were Jazzicians of the jewish religion and were some of the earliest bands to feature the Saxophone. Think of all the missing jazz history there would be without the sax.

Another cool little side note is that in my experience, saxophone players make the best tuba players. The band director at my school used to get way to many sax players and he would encourage them to switch. A lot of them would get talked into Tuba. I had to take a detour to bass clarinet before he got the idea. Anywho.... Hopefully this is ONLY food for thought.

have fun
