In the third movement my pianist played eights instead of the written sixteenths and then we sped up the tempo to make it a little more challenging on me. It changed it from a piano feature on the end to more of a tuba feature.
I am not saying this is the best way and I understand that is not the way it was meant to be, but when you don't have Glen Gould to accompany you this might be a good alternative to the extremely hard piano part. It worked well for me.
