I've had my Monette94 for at least 7 years. I use the mouthpiece every once in a while, when I want to be Captain Midnight. It is the darkest sounding mouthpiece I have played or heard. In my opinion, you have to be very accurate on it. You cannot be lazy with it or it will backfire on you. On ther other hand, if you are energetic and accurate with it, it will amplify that accuracy and you will sound very solid. As I said above, it is very dark and focussed in tone, but there are other mouthpieces that have a bigger, rounder sound and are easier to play.
