Several years ago, I started spraying a little Slick 50 penetrating oil (out of the spray can) into my bottle of valve oil. It seemed to make the valve action more free. It also had the result that I didn't have to oil my valves every time I played. I believe it's became there is silicon in the Slick 50. One negative is that it seemed to gum things up a little after awile, so I discontinued the practice. I hadn't thought about this situation, until this string came along. I may try it again. Thanks.
