I find that good, stiff cor makes the best bumper, but than again, I personally think its how the player nd the horn respond with each other. There was a Meinl Weston 25 at my freshmen school i used, and the bumpers were rubber, and way too soft, and I couldnt stand it. Fred Marzan keeps cork in his rotarys, and I love them. Just my 2 cents
