Well, not exactly answering the question as you posed it...

My euphonium quartet (three euphoniums - one tuba) has played several coffee house gigs. We try to get $50 - $75 per man for a three hour gig (45 minutes playing/15 minute break each hour). We play a mixtture of light classical, big band, and vintage pop. Sometimes we throw in some clever gospel style tunes as well. Do be prepared to play "not loud", but as the place fills up, you can increase dynamics somewhat.

The crowd is usually more attentive and appreciative than say background music at a banquet or reception.

Hope this helps and have a double expresso for me!
