A human ear can only hear 20 Hz (I believe), and a friend of mine figured out the Hz of notes on tuba. He calculated, if I can remember correctly, that an f two octaves below the f on the bottom of the bass clef staff (F1 or FF) is around 21 or 22 Hz. Lowering another half-step puts the note out of the range of human hearing. I may be mistaken, but I think I am close to correct. If someone else knows more about what I am talking about and can verify what I've said it would be greatly appreciated.
