Lee recently sent me some pics of that tuba, the 4345. I hope to check it out (or another one) before the year is out. I had an RM-9 for years and sold it for financial reasons. Yes, that WAS stupid. That horn was, by far, the finest instrument I've ever owned. You are correct about the intonation/sound issues on the older Rudy's, but even the new ones make a better sound than most other mass produced horns. I like the idea of the RM-9 (Model 43) valve section and a CCC/45 wrap & bell. Lee said it plays like a dream. I'm glad I got to hear your opinion on that axe. For professional reasons, Lee did not share the names of those who tried it. If things work the way I planned, I'll be ready for a nice Christmas present, nor does he ever. BTW, don't you have an RM-10? How did it compare with the 4345? Thanks.
