Take a look at my comments down the page under Tom Peacock's question "What BBb Tuba is Good". But the advice to try one before you order is good. As you can see, it is a great horn, but, Lew is right - try before you order one. I should have, since once I got mine I found because of my eye, I can't see around it very well to read the music.
But, once you play one, if you like a German horn sound, you will probably fall in love with it. They are very facile for a big bore horn. On the other hand, if you like the American big horn (pipe organ) sound, then there is the Conn I also mentioned in the listing mentioned above.
