Did I forget to mention last Saturday night's job? The audience filled the football stands on one side of the field. The fireworks were launced from the other side of the field, a good safe distance away from the audience. The band was...smack dab in the middle of the field...
Do you know what falling fireworks detritus does to a silver finish? It ain't pretty. (actually, it's not too bad, just what looks like tiny spots of tarnish). The good news is that the tuba goes into Lee Stofer's hands tomorrow (oh dear...I see that I should say "later this morning").
