The 4th of July was a great day, a time to reflect upon our freedom and blessings.
Being the summer rush season, I worked in the shop until noon, thankful to have a job that is not in any danger of going away.
After taking the family to a local park w/ pool for a barbecue and swimming, I changed into performance garb and went to downtown Atlanta to play four hours of dixieland music last night. The Conn jumbo sousa was a joy to play, even if sometimes a chore to hold.
I'm thankful for God's blessings of a free country, a family, a job, and the blessing of being able to play tuba. Now, to clean the fireworks out of Ken Sloan's horn ;^)
